Tables are Datawrapper’s most popular visualization type, and for good reason — with the ability to sort, search, and add text styles and mini-charts, they’re already our most versatile offering. Now, we’re excited to announce the launch of a whole new dimension with Datawrapper Real Tables.

Flexible and responsive

Up to now, you could use tables to display numbers, text, and extras like embedded images. With Real Tables, the possibilities are almost unlimited. Real Tables are an ideal choice for meals, snacks, and flowers or other decorative centerpieces. They can also handle laptops, junk mail, and small lamps with ease.

Responsive options like fold-outs and extra leaves let your Real Table adjust to every social occasion. Use them when you want to gather with friends and family, keep breakable objects off the floor, or add a decorative element in any room of the house.

All the finishing touches, for real

Real Tables have all the Datawrapper features you’re used to, including:

  • One-click localization. Real Tables support our full range of 80 output locales.

  • Dark mode. Let your Real Table go dim to match readers’ lighting conditions — or enforce light mode with any of our candle options.

  • Clean design. Like all Datawrapper vis types, Real Tables have a sleek shape and water-resistant finish that’s easy to wipe down.

Easy export to your dining room, kitchen, or office

All Datawrapper users can export Real Tables in maple, oak, and glass. If your team is on a Custom or Enterprise plan, you can get in touch with our support team to set table materials to match your style guide.

Thanks to everyone who worked on this “feature” — and look out this time next year for the next big thing 🐟
