Placing symbols on a map should be as simple as it sounds.

Preparing geo data is often the hardest part of mapping. That’s why we prepared more than 3000 basemaps of administrative regions for you to use, like US states, ZIP Codes in New York, or electoral districts in Berlin.
Can’t find what you’re looking for? Use our GeoJSON upload, or contact us at support@datawrapper.de. Our cartographer Anna will happily create a new basemap for you and our collection.
There’s no need to upload latitudes and longitudes to Datawrapper. Sure, you can. But our tool also comes with a geo-coder: You give us your addresses or city names, we place them on your map.
All our symbol maps look great on desktop devices, tablets, and mobile phones, by default. And they’re all interactive: Click on the zoom button or hover over the symbols to see the underlying data as tooltips — or turn all interactivity off in our map editor.
